Ann Pearce Phillips
Birth and Baptism
Ann Pearce Phillips was baptised in Thorncombe in 1801 together with Thomas, presumably her brother, and possibly her twin.
Ann Pearce Daughter William Phillips & Betty his Wife baptised Jany 8th
Thomas Pearce Son William Phillips & Betty his Wife baptised Jany 8th
Assuming 1st January was the new year and they were both christened soon after birth, their birth was probably late 1800 or very early 1801.
A working assumption is that William Phillips wife Betty was Elizabeth Pearce.
Marriage

Item 19, Tatworth Tything Joseph Biddlecombe ¦ U (condition Unmarried) ¦ (Male aged ) 20 ¦ Watch & Clock Maker ¦ Somerset Bristol
This census was taken on 31st March 1851. From baptism the duration is 50 years, 2 months, 23 days excluding the end date. Not hugely out for Census information.
Also, according to the Census, Joseph was born about 1831 in Bristol.
Death and Burial
An Ann Phillips of Thorncombe was buried by John Bragge in the Parish of Thorncombe Dorset on the 23rd February 1855, aged 54.
A quick check on the duration between baptism and this burial results in 54 years, 1 month, 15 days excluding the end date. So the age is as expected.
Of course, it is not that easy, there is another candidate Ann Phillips, abode Wiveliscombe buried 31st December 1855, aged 55 years.
The following is from the Register of Deaths found on Free BMD
It is a register of deaths not of burials, It does have her full name and is for the first Quarter of 1855, so that excludes the Ann of Wiveliscombe buried 31st December 1855 but does include Ann of Thorncombe, buried 23rd February 1855.
The next question has to be, is Thorncombe in the Axminster Registration District? The answer is yes.
