My attempt at a transcription of the above Will.
In the name of God Amen,
I Elizabeth Biddlecombe of Upper Kingstone in the parish of Ringwood in the County of Southton Widow being weak of body but of a good & sound memory blessed be God for it and Knowing of vulnerability of my life in this world I do make and ordain this my Last Will and Testament in mannor and form as followeth first and critically I commend my soul into the hands of my Redeemer hoping through his xxxxx to obtain just pardon of all my xxxxx and to have Eternall Life and as for my body I commit to the Earth to be buried in a Christian Like mannor at the Discrestion of my Excuteror hereafter named in hopes of a joyfull Resurrection at the last Day, And as xxxxx all such worldly Estate as it hath pleased God of his xxxxx to give me in this life I give devise and bequeath as followeth.
Item I give unto my three grandchildren, Elizabeth Wagg And Joseph Warne, and Mary Warne to Each of them five pounds a piece to be xxx to them at the age of one and twenty years. And I give all my xxxxx Equally to be Divided amongst them.
Item I give to my Son Richard Biddlecombe the sume of five pounds in xxx he Do not xxx out his brother James life out of the house with the xxxx I now livieth in which if he should Do then I xxxx & woollon to be equally Divided between my own Daughter and now wife of Joseph Warne and my Daughter in Law the wife of my Son Richard Biddlecombe.
Item I give all the Rest of my household goods to be equally Divided between my two Sons Richard and James Biddlecombe Excepting all my ???? belonging to my xxxx which I give to my son James And xxxx my xxxx
Item I give unto my Son James Biddlecombe all my moneys Due to me on xxxx bills our xxxx and I do make my whole & Sole Executor of this my Last will a Testament xxx paying my Debts & Legatist and this I Declare to be my Last Will & Testament Revoking and Disannulling all whatsoever before writton Ratifying and Confirming this to be my Last Will and Testament in Witness whereof I have xxx xxx my hand and seal this Twenty fifth Day of April in the fourth year of the reign of our Sovereign Lord George by the grace of God of Great Brittaine France & Ireland King defender of the faith etc Anno Domino 1724
